The Truth About “Carefully Selected” Microbe Amendment Products

The reality about microbe amendment products made with one or several “carefully selected” microbes is that they’re never good enough for your cannabis plants – if they provide any significantly measurable benefits at all, which is questionable.

How do we know this? Because it’s a simple fact of nature. Single microbe amendment products cannot fully provide what your cannabis plants need to thrive – not even close!

It’s not that single microbe (or several microbes) amendments are bad. The problem is they’re not good enough for cultivators who want to optimize their grow operations in terms of crop yield, plant health, and profitability.

In fact, they’re so inferior to what your plants actually need that we recommend you set up a test to determine just how much they’re actually helping you. If you do a side-by-side test where the only variable is whether or not you use a specific amendment, you may not see a big enough difference to justify the high cost of that amendment product.

We know this is true because we’ve helped many of our clients set up these types of tests. The results are always overwhelmingly clear – single microbe amendments cost a lot but deliver little or no measurable improvements.

Truthfully, when you get your biology in a bottle, you pay too much and get too little in return.

“Carefully Selected” Microbes are Too Limited in What They Can Do for Your Plants

To fully understand why single microbe amendments or amendments that include several microbes aren’t good enough, you need to think about how plants grow in nature. Original biology from nature – micbrobial biomass – is amazing. Plants grow by themselves, with no human intervention. There is a deep connected relationship between plants and microscopic organisms. They work together and plants grow.

The thing to keep in mind is that biomass is so big. It includes millions of good and bad strains, but the presence of bad microbes isn’t a problem in nature because there are more good microbes than bad.

Everything works fine in a large ecosystem because good microbes dominate bad microbes in nature. However, in a smaller ecosystem, like a controlled environment cultivation facility, a few bad microbes could become dominant and create disease pressure or even wipe out a crop.

That meant cultivators couldn’t leverage microbial biomass and introduce millions of microbes in controlled environments. However, scientists did find a way to isolate a few good microbes and put them in a controlled environment grow facility to get some benefits. The thought process was it’s better to get some benefits than none.

But there’s a problem with that theory. It’s not true that you can pick 1-10 microbes and get anywhere close to the benefits that millions of microbes deliver. What actually happens in nature is plant signaling between each plant and tens of thousands or more microbes, so the plant gets what it needs when it’s needed. Even the best microbe selection only accounts for one-tenth of 1% of the 100% that wide spectrum biomass does to enable plant signaling, help plants stay healthy and fight off pests, and more.

Here’s another way to look at it. Single microbes can do transactions, such as carrying more phosphorous from the fertilizer to the plant. However, there are many more transactions that happen beyond that single microbe bringing phosphorous to the plant. In reality, the plant is asking for so much more. In addition, that single microbe can’t bring enough phosphorous to the plant because there are actually 2,000 microbes that work together to bring enough phosphorous to a plant, store it, and make it available to the plant as needed.

Bottom-line, there is no such thing as one microbe that does a full transaction (such as delivering phosphorous). It takes thousands of microbes to complete one transaction efficiently and fully. A single facilitating microbe can’t deliver as much phosphorous as a plant needs nor can it protect the plant or enable full plant signaling. If you’re using “carefully selected” microbe amendment products, you’re not getting the full potential of wide spectrum microbial biomass that your plants need to thrive.

Your Plants Need Millions of Microbes to Truly Thrive

We know that good biology is beneficial to plant performance and good outcomes for crops, but there is no one microbe that you need if you want to increase phosphorous or achieve any other goal. Instead, you need wide spectrum biology that mimics nature in a controlled environment and restores full signaling to the plant.

Fortunately for cultivators, bio365 found a way to culture a wide spectrum biomass in a clean, indoor setting – a carefully controlled environment. Using HEPA filters and a positive air pressure environment, we can grow a wide spectrum biomass that is not only clean but can actually help reduce the risk of pests and pathogens in your grow.

Before bio365 invented its living soil with wide spectrum biology and millions of microbes, growers didn’t have a way to bring microbial biomass into their controlled environments. Compost simply isn’t clean. If bio365 didn’t exist, then using single microbe amendments may be a good decision, but that’s no longer the case. We invented an overwhelmingly better solution, so there is no longer a case for using single microbe amendments.

Using single microbe amendment products is incredibly expensive. For one-tenth the cost of what you pay to add one microbe using a single microbe amendment product, bio365 grow media gives you a million microbe biomass. The truth is, cannabis growers pay much more to get a single or a few microbes in a bottle than they would pay to get millions of microbes from bio365 grow media. Using bio365 grow media provides an overwhelming cost savings and better results for your crops.

Furthermore, since bio365 delivers biomass out of the box and ready to go, growers don’t have to pay extra for additional amendments, labor, vendors, supply chain, and so on. Everything is already in bio365 grow media, and it will massively outperform single microbe amendments every time.

Key Takeaways about “Carefully Selected” Microbe Amendment Products

There is no single “carefully selected” microbe that can do the job that wide spectrum biology can do in terms of restoring plant signaling to mimic nature and enable plants to grow stronger and healthier. All of bio365’s grow media is made with microbial biomass, so cannabis cultivators’ can increase plant health, yields, quality, and profits when they switch to bio365.

There really is no reason to use expensive single or several microbe amendments when there is a more economical and effective solution in bio365’s living soil.
